My daughter and I both run Win 7 in VirtualBox on Dell laptops running Netrunner 2nd edition (Kubuntu 12.04). She has to run Windows this way to gain access to her college network. She installs the required college protection software in Windows and then can log in through something called a nac agent to gain access. Once on she can do her work in Linux. She has done this for 2 1/2 years. I once reinstalled a newer version of Linux and she could not get Windows XP to connect to the Internet, but someone in IT finally helped her and changed a Windows setting.
She went back after Christmas with a different laptop and all was working fine. A week ago she left her laptop asleep and the battery ran out. When she tried to boot up her Linux install was corrupted. I reinstalled the same version saving her /home and VirtualBox. However, she cannot now connect in Windows to the Internet. The IT department won't help blaming VirtualBox. However when she goes off campus it works fine. It also works on campus with a wired connection.
Any ideas?

Re: Windows 7 Pro Guest cannot connect to Internet
Serveral items :
1. You have 3 adapters configured on the VM : NAT, Bridged & Internal. This can cause issues (especially in Windows) so you have to choose one and remove the two others.
2. Bridging on Wifi is not guaranteed to work due to someinherent Wifi architecture (essentially P2P connections) issues and is not stable by nature.
So if you say it works with ethernet but not with Wifi, using the exact same configuration, nothing can be done on that side I am afraid.
3. Your daugther did not type correctly one of the command in the guest which is crucial :

Re: Windows 7 Pro Guest cannot connect to Internet
Looks like not all of these were taken while she was where the problem is.
What I can tell is that Virtualbox is working as expected - you get IPs where you should and the proper devices show up.
First step would be to remove the second and third interface, by disabling them in the VM config. Any reason why you have 3 interfaces there?
