Ubuntu 12.04 Server crash. Missing dirs

Post by ansimar »

Hi,
I have a virtual machine with Ubuntu Server 12.04. Yesterday when i was working the vm crashed. When i restarted it i check if there were problems. The /var directory has changed. Most of dirs inside are missing.
Now only are /var/crash, /var/lock, /var/log, /var/run.
Inside /var/crash there is a file named _sbin_ureadahead.0.crash (I attached the file in this post).
I had searched in forums but I dont't find any solution. Any suggestions????

Thanks in advance

Looks like some file system corruption. Do a full file system check. And restore your backup if necessary.
