One or more virtual hard disks, CD/DVD or floppy are not....

Post by Joshua Blahyi »

currently accessible.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

Windows 7 is my host.

I had Linux Mint installed and working. I had the Linux Mint .iso file in my Downloads folder, but I moved it to another place on my hard drive with all the other distros I am trying. I wanted to keep it organized.

So now when I start my Linux Mint, it looks like I have to install it again.

Once you move the .iso file it breaks the OS and it has to be reinstalled?

Or can I fix this?

Thanks

The error simply tells you that the path whcih was saved in the config is not longer correct (since you moved the ISO)
Simpy remove it from the CD/DVD drive of your VM and you'll be fine.

Cool! That worked and was very simple. Thank you very much!

After I do an install of a Linux Distro should I be removing the CD/DVD in the storage settings?

Yes, you should always remove an ISO from the VM config if you don't need it anymore.
