The best way to compact it is using CloneVDI.

Use the compact option.

CloneVDI has resizing and compaction as separate options. Just tick the "Compact drive while copying" checkbox, and make a clone. If you make the destination filename the same as the original, and you tick the "Keep UUID" checkbox, then VirtualBox shouldn't even be aware that anything happened. In this case the original VDI will be renamed as "Original <vmname" - you can delete this once you've tested the copy.

ps. Nobody has done a Portuguese translation for CloneVDI yet, hint hint. Still only English, Dutch, German and French.
