Guest Additions 4.2.12 failed to install for me

I have recently updated to the 4.2.12 release, after launching my guest, I then tried to install the guest additions update and the output window indicated the installation failed.

Such version specific issue should be directed to this topic.
Provide the VM log aswell as the log provided here as a zip attachment.
