CloneVDI Not Working

Ok, so I successfully cloned my orginal snpashots into one single .vdi to increase the disc size. Booted up and all is well.

When I use clonevdi to clone and add space it damages my windows files. Tried it twice and both times my windows files were damaged and I received Windows errors that files were damaged :-(

If you have already cloned the guest to a single file you should use the modifyhd instead. See link below:

I do have a backup, when I attempt to resize from 150g to 300g it succeeds, but for some reason system files get corrupted, chdisk starts up....etc

Wondering if there is any other tool to resize the .vdi ?

It's not uncommon that check disk would fire up after you increase the size of the drive. The OS is seeing something has changed. Does the check disk finish and say it is corrupt?

checkdisk runs and completes with no errors.

If check disk says there is no errors then how do you know the system is corrupt? What is the exact error you are seeing?
