hello, i am new here and i really don't know if VirtualBox works to make portable usb drive with XP on it ? if i am missing something please suggest me any guide or tutorial. all i can make is a virtual machine on my HD but never found any way to make Windows XP usb portable.

Virtualbox does not support portable installs.
Some other projects claim to, but I never tried them so cannot tell you how good it is. Google portable virtualbox and you should find them.

To make an installation of windows xp "portable", as in bootable through the usb bus, you need usboot, which can be found at usboot dot org. It requires registration, and online activation per use, but it's free. And you only need to do it once. There is also a support forum.
