How to add a disk or increase the size of a disk?

Post by rkb »

I have "added" a disk and now I have two .vdi files. But, when I reboot the VM I don't see evidence of the new drive? What do I do now? I have attached a screen-shot of the two .vdi files that I have for storage.

You need to partition and format the new drive as well as create a mount point and mount it.

No way for me to know. I don't know what the guest is or how you prepared the guests primary drive.
Use the tools that your guest provides to see. I would expect it to be something like /dev/sd*
