Windows XP installed as guest os in Virtualbox 1.5.6 running on Ubuntu Linux. When running emule, virtualbox frequently crashes.

You should open a bug report. Please attach the VBox.log file. If this was a SEGFAULT please try to generate a core dump and attach this to the bug report as well.

I encounter the same issue, every 5 or so hours the vm crashes when running emule.
I am running Vista 32 bit SP1 + emule 0.49b on Ubuntu 8.04 64bit
First I thought it was due to high network load, but I can transfer hundreds of Gigabytes from guest to host without any of the above issues occurring.

Before searching errors install the newest virtualbox version 2.10.

I have the newest version up and running.
I would be glad to help - I already had a look at the Vbox.log, but I didn't really know what to look for

Okay, I checked with XP_SP3 32 bit, the same issue here, but the vm crashes faster - shortly after connecting to a server.
If not connected, it doesn't crash.
I also tried Safe Mode, doesn't make a difference.
Running on Ubuntu 8.04, Virtualbox 2.1.0, NAT Networking
edit/ I switched to Host Networking. So far eMule is running fine. Seems as if the problem was solved
