I am using Oracle Virtual Box 4.2.8. I have installed successfully Rhel6.After reboot I am getting Oracle Virtulbox stop working I dont know why its giving this type of error.

Thanks a lot for the quick response. The below are the system configuration along with logs.

I am using windows 7 32 bit OS Installed Oracle Virtual BOx 4.2.8 on it.

Memory on the physical system - 4GB

HDD on the physical system - 500 GB

I am installing RHEL6 on this virtualBox.

Make sure that the guest is shut down and then go to the storage section of the guest and remove the install media from the CD drive. (far right cd icon)
The see if it boots. If not shut the guest down and post the new log file.

I did as per your instructions but no success RHEL booting up after some time its giving VirtualBox stop working.

I don't think you've installed the OS correctly on the virtual drive. I suspect the boot sector is present, nothing else.

Also, perhaps you should enable the IO-APIC.

Os has been installed perfectly fine I am attaching anothewr screen shot which may help you. If the OS not installed correctly it should not boot up.

I would do as Don says and enable IO APIC as well as make sure that VT-x is enabled

I seem to remember that version less than 4.2.10 have issues with 6.4.

I would upgrade and try it again.

Did you update Virtualbox to 4.2.12, following Perry's suggestion?

I'm facing same issue as stated above. My Oracle VMBox version is 4.2.16.

I'm able to install RHEL 6 Successfully. But when trying to install RHEL 7, I'm getting the above error. "Oracle VM Box is not working"

Kindly suggest.

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

How about trying a newer version of Vbox?
RHEL 7 was released a year after Vbox 4.2.16
