Reduce Virtual Disk Size

Hi all - I have a dynamically allocated VDI set to 100GB max space. As it turns out, this 100GB virtual drive is more than double the space actually needed so I'd like to compact the drive, then copy or clone into a new dynamically allocated VDI set to 45GB max space. I've read that CloneVDI may give this functionality, but I'm not seeing the option to reduce the size wthin CloneVDI. Could you provide some guidance on the steps needed to accomplish this? Here's some info on the existing disk:
Ubuntu Linux reported space used: 15G (using df -h in terminal) - this will grow to about 30 - 35 GB max in the future.
Windows Host file system reported space: 77 GB
Dynamically allocated virtual size: 100 GB
Desired dynamically allocated virtual size: 45GB (after compact and clone)
