I was notified that a newer version of virtualbox, I clicked on the download link to download it,
started installling but hours later it the installation was not completed despite the status bar of completetion was seemlly full for a long long time.
it hung after network interface
there is an network driver update release in sept on microsoft I have not installed the optional marvel yukon 80E80001.. release in sep 2012
does that matter?
I cancelled the installation, restarted the pc, and tried installing the VB again, this time it hang after asking permisision to continue.
I went to the oracle VB download site, downloaded another copy and compared the two, they are identical - no error in downloading.
what gives? should I wait for next releae or fix?
platform details:
core 2 quad 8GB ram, plenty of free storage, windoxs 8 pro 64 bit
previous version of Virtual box running seems to be 32 bit Version 4.2.8 r83876
