Password protected Shared folder
Password protected Shared folder
I have a Windows 7 host system operating an Ubuntu 12.04 guest via virtualbox. I need to get access from the virtual machine to a network drive that is mapped in windows. I added the drive to the shared folders list in the virtualbox settings, and a folder for it appears in /media as sf_Z_Drive but when I click on it I get a popup telling me: "the folder contents could not be displayed. You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of sf_Z_Drive". Is there any way to set this up with my login information to get the proper permission?

The actual user that will try to access your network drive is either the one running the VM, or the one running the VBoxSVC process. In case of the VBoxSVC, that would be the System account.
