Hi everyone in the forum,
i am experiencing some troubles with the vbox i am building.
After installing all programs needed, they should be tested just in case, and woala there is one not working and even more the vbox is getting collapse each time the program tryes to be run
i think it was something related with lack of memory or pagination so i assigned as much as i could to the disk but still not working.
Any idea how could it be fiexd would be more than welcome.
Tx in advanced
Vbos is being restarted or broken continuosly why?
Re: Vbos is being restarted or broken continuosly why?
The version of VirtualBox is 4.2.6,w the Guest Additions installed.
Host & Guest are 32 bit
The amount of memory available of the Host 4 GB
The amount of memory available of the Guest 1 GB
Guest log file as an attachment)

There's no need to break a large log file into three parts. Apparantly you missed the advice about posting it as a .zip. Never mind, I did it for you.
You are using too much of the hosts available RAM for this VM. As a general rule you should use no more than half. If this is an XP VM then I would suggest 512MB.VBox.log wrote: 00:00:02.816432 Host RAM: 2038MB total, 1112MB available

I believe PATM is the "Patch Manager" which patches guest code so that it can run inside a VM. I would guess that the crash indicates that the guest is doing something naughty, perhaps self modifying code or accessing an invalid I/O address.VBox.log wrote: 00:03:04.773760 PATM: Disable block at f4330367 - invalid write f43306f3-f43306f4

I believe PATM is not required if you enable VT-x. Your CPU appears to be capable of VT-x, but it does not appear to be available. In order to be available it must be enabled in your host PC BIOS, and no other software can be using it (e.g. no Hyper-v). It should then be enabled in the VM settings too.VBox.log wrote: 00:00:04.458476 HWACCM: No VT-x or AMD-V CPU extension found. Reason VERR_VMX_MSR_LOCKED_OR_DISABLED

Re: Vbox is being restarted or broken continuosly why?
You are right, a program is doing something weird in the VM. Sometimes runs and workw perfectly, sometimes collapse all VM.
So i have decide to take snapshots when everything requested is opened and working, but how much garanty do i have the snapshot work perfectly? or could be another collapse experienced?
Tx

The issues with snapshots have been discussed many times - try a search.
