I have no idea what Creation2 is, though I gather it is yet another Linux. I think you should approach the Creation2 developers for guidance as to system requirements and whether it will run as a VM.

A couple of things you need to provide us.

1) link to the developer web site so we can figure out what creation 2 is
2) the log file for the guest

The site does not tell me what I want to know (or I have not been able to find it easily)

Exactly what is the Linux base? What was it made from, or is it all vanilla?

Also I see where they have listed as the newest version using VirtualBox 4.1.* which is very old. If you installed version is newer it may not work properly.

Well that doesn't help all that much.

There are just too many reasons for you problem. Post the guests log file (as an attachment)

This as well.
From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.

Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.

Code: Select all

00:00:02.717865 HWACCM: No VT-x or AMD-V CPU extension found. Reason VERR_VMX_MSR_LOCKED_OR_DISABLED
You need to enable hardware virtualization in your PC bios, or if it is enabled make sure nothing else is using it (hyper-v, Etc... )

Not sure if that is your problem but it could be and will also help the guest run smoother when you do get it working.
