Ubuntu 12.04 guest freezes while entering password at login
Occasionally my Ubuntu 12.04 guest/Win7 host will freeze momentarily when attempting to enter the password into the Ubuntu guest. The cursor blinks as expected before transferring focus to the field. However, as soon as I do the Ubuntu guest freezes for about a minute or so. The password field gives no indication that I've entered any characters. Then after about the minute or so asterisks appear and I attempt to complete the login, usually by clearing the chars entered so far and starting over. Again, it freezes for same amount of time. After it finally comes back everything is fine until the next time I start the Ubuntu guest - though most times the Ubuntu login goes just fine without any freezing whatsoever.

Logs show everything going fine until the last where the graphics is tested. I would see if I had the latest graphics drivers for the host. You might also want to exclude the guest from your hosts virus software.

I've pretty much ruled out VirtualBox as it's now happened a number of times without it running. It appears to be an issue with a controller and my SSD.
Thanks nonetheless.
