Hello,
Please excuse another dumb newbie question. I have been looking at replacing Norton Ghost with ShadowDesktop5 as a complete disk imaging backup solution on my new primary desktop PC. I'm considering this product for 2 reasons: (1) Ghost 15 doesn't run on Windows8 if using that became necessary; and(2) ShadowDesktop includes the option for a Virtual Boot recovery that creates a disk image compatible with "restoring" to a VirtualBox install on another PC independent of what OS the new host PC is running. Does anyone have any experience with this product and VirtualBox? Thank you.

ShadowProtect works just fine!

On SP you can use an image file and start that up with VBOX so you have a functional machine running.

I´ve used this several times now and did not have any single problem.

Just keep in mind that VBOX has to be installed seperately (not included on SP), SP will find the installation of VBOX automatically.
