I accidentally dragged my windows XP.vdi to the trash and when I brought it back to the applications folder the Virtual Box couldn't "find" it. I've been searching through forums and have tried a few things. Up to now, this is the error read I am now getting. Any Suggestions?

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine WindowsXP.
UUID {981cc0a0-6c6f-453b-8f08-cea5746a1b00} of the medium '/Users/lucigabel/VirtualBox VMs/WindowsXP/WindowsXP.vdi' does not match the value {2c3a0858-eebd-497f-9b8d-8c7991ff8504} stored in the media registry ('/Users/lucigabel/Library/VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml').

I have tried replacing the UUID of the media registry (Virtual Box.xml) with the "UUID of the medium" but it doesn't do anything to change this message.

The VDI UUID is embedded in its header, and cannot be changed by moving it around using the host OS. So, we are missing part of this story I think.

Just make sure when moving the file back to put it in the correct place. Do you have more than one XP VM? The error message seems to indicate so.
