My new desktop PC finally arrived from CyberpowerPC with Windows 7 Pro installed. After getting the basic set-up tasks completed, installed the latest version of VirtualBox and the guest additions. I used the Export Appliance function on the temporary desktop PC to get the "XP appliance" on an external USB hard drive. Started VirtualBox on the new desktop and ran the "Import Appliance" function to get the "XP appliance" off the USB drive. Took only a few minutes and was 100% successful...in fact doing this post from the XP appliance. VirtualBox even "managed" the change from a wired to wireless network running on the new host PC. Thanks to all who helped get this newbie up-to-speed in the forum. Saved me countless hours of time and effort.
