Hello,
Is it possible to use a DLink DHN120 USB home phoneline network adapter in a Windows XP guest VM instead of using the Windows 7 host's network ethernet card? There are no 64 bit Windows 7 drivers available for this HPNA adapter that I've used with an XP-based desktop in the past. More a curiosity than desperate need. Thank you.

Just create a USB filter for the device so it gets taken into the VM. The device will then appear in it instead of in your host.
You can then use it the same way you would on the host.

Thank you Noteirak. I connected to DLInk HPNA usb adapter while the XP guest was running on a Windows 7 host. I was able to cancel out of the Windows 7 "new hardware detected" routine and the DLink adapter showed up on the USB devices list in the VirtualBox Manager "toolbar". When I clicked on it to "enable", the XP new hardware detected function kicked-in and I was able to point it to the appropriate driver files stored on the XP guest hard drive. Disabled the Host network connection and enabled the DLink connection and it worked just fine. This is very handy for my home since wireless signal can't reach portions of the house where there are telephone jacks available. Using a 2Wire HPNA enabled router gives a consistent 1 Mb/sec network connection. Not fast but secure and reliable...plus the telephone still works with the HPNA active.
