For some reason HW BPs are not working.
I am using the latest version of VBOX ( 4.2.8 ) + latest version of Guest Additions ( 4.2.8 ).
The host machine is a Win 7 x64 (SP1), while the guest OS is a WinXP SP3.
I have been using VBOX for a while, I didn't have any problems in the past using HW BPs, which for me is a feature I need because of the nature of my work (malware analyst).
I have also checked Hardware Virtualization which is enabled (VT-x/AMD-V). Nested paging is also enabled, but I guess this is irrelevant.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Solution: I mistakenly took for granted that VT-X (intel) or AMD-V are always enabled by default (if the cpu supports that feature) . Enabling VT-X through the BIOS fixed the issue.
PS: Don't forget to enable those features also in your virtual cpu configuration and have guest additions installed.
