Windows does something to new files in shared folder?

Hello,
Since I wanted to have easy access to my half-life dedicated server files I decided to install it inside folder shared with Windows 7 host. My guest is Debian Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64. When I'm trying to install this game server I encounter errors over and over again saying that files are being locked. Additionally some libraries ( test1.so, test2.so and test3.so ) my installation program downloads are being set without write flag. Since this tool updates itself about tree times downloading those libs and unpacking them it results in an error telling me that he can't update those files and makes me in the end unable to proceed with download. I know that's the reason because I have copied those file to non-shared directory which resulted in update and server installation completed without any errors.
How can I solve this?
I would also want to ask you guys about some moron-immune documentation of Shared folders. Maybe I will find a solution there if you won't be able to help me with this.
Thanks is advance
