Possible Restore from snapshots .sav

Post by _mIRCea_ »

Hello,
I accidentally formatted virtual machine that was CentOS
I tried TestDisk to recover without success.
Virtual disc size was 8Gb.
I accidentally found in a file of about 1Gb Snapshots, old made...a month ago.
It's something that can be done to recover some data?
Thanks.

Not enough information provided. But, the usual answer is no: snapshots are not useful as backups. Something might be done if you have backups of the base VDI that belongs with the snapshots.
