I am trying to use VBoxManage to expand my machine so I used the following
vboxmanage modifyhd "c:\users\xxxx\virtualbox vms\development machine\development machine.vhd" --resize 46080
but I get an error message that it can't find the file for the medium. The only difference between what I used and what I have seen others post is that I have a vhd rather than a vdi and I have a space in the name. Is the space causing me a problem?
VBoxManage error
Re: VBoxManage error
BTW, I also tried using the UUID but it didn't like that either.

Re: VBoxManage error
Is the vhd a fixed size or dynamically allocated version?
According to the manual resize "currently works only for VDI and VHD formats, and only for the dynamically allocated variants"

Re: VBoxManage error
A verbatim copy/paste of the full command wiht the full error will be helpful here.

Re: VBoxManage error
Weird, it worked when I tried again after I restarted the vm and just saved the state rather than stopping the machine.
