I have as host Ubuntu 12.10 and virtualbox-4.2_4.2.6-82870 .
I try an Ubuntu 12.04 guest installation that ends at the beginning with message ( see attachment )
Is Guest Ubuntu 12.04 not supported ?
Thank a lot.

Yes, the table to choose the language is shown but it is impossible to do it...

The smbus message is normal - happens with every Ubuntu installation in my experience. If the installation is failing, that isn't the reason.

Post the VM log file as a zipped attachment.

I 've installed and works ..but not shared folder : I 've run guest additions again and still shared folder doesn't work.
What is my error ? mount -t vboxsf [-o OPTIONS] sharename mountpoint ...........my shared folder name is SHARE

How much experiance do you have with Linux and filesystems?
"mountpoint" needs to be an empty directory which already exists.

Looks like it took if that is the last command (screenshot) you provided.
If I might though you should create a folder to place the share in and not just dump the share in the /mnt root.

Have you looked in /mnt to see that the share is not mounted?

The command will mount the contents of the actual folder you are sharing and the SHARE is just a name.

You might get more out of this if you read Linux guest shared folders
