VERR_PDM_DRIVER_NOT_FOUND with new network

Post by actionmystique »

Hello everyone,

I've installed an Ubuntu VM on Windows 7 with Virtual Box 4.2.6
No problem when I launch the VM, except if I add a network:
VBox Ubuntu Issue.JPG
VBox Ubuntu Issue.JPG (35.21 KiB) Viewed 8501 times
Then I get this error message when I try to launch the VM:
VBox Ubuntu Issue - 2.JPG
VBox Ubuntu Issue - 2.JPG (28.38 KiB) Viewed 8501 times
As soon as I remove this network, then running Ubuntu again is OK.
Any idea?

Have you installed the VDE and utils packages in the Ubuntu guest?

Also unless this has changed and not documented you need to compile VBox to do this. See Section 6 of your VirtualBox users manual.

I used 'UDP Tunnel' mode, which is different from 'VDE' mode, so I guess there's no reason to install this extension.
