Ubuntu mini.iso installation blocks

Post by nick091 »

Virtualbox 4.2.6 on host ubuntu 10.04 32bit, guest 1024gb ram and ubuntu mini.iso 12.04 32bit
I tried to install ubuntu guest by minimal cd using install, command-line and advanced installation

Afther mirror selection installation process downloads something, then remains stationary with the cursor down where I could write (but do not know what) and after a few minutes of silence with the CPU at full throttle, I stopped installation. I tried Italy mirror, Switzerland, France but it is the same, also tried with 10.04
What's wrong?

I see nothing wrong in the log file, though perhaps you could try enabling IO APIC. Other than that I suspect an Ubuntu forum might be the best place to ask.

It can take a long time to actually see anything using the mini. It has to download a lot of data that is not included on the "mini" install media.
