I'm trying to install VirtualBox-4.2.6-82870-Win on a Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit system.
the installations starts, but after about 80% it just stops. No errors, the install program is running, but it's not doing anything.
It has disabled the network.
I need to use Task Manager to kill the process and then reboot the system to get the network back.
I have exit Dropbox. Stopped Microsoft Seurity Essentials.
Please help!

Re: Install hangs
I know this sounds odd, but that really is not a VirtualBox problem. The installer is a Windows program running on a Windows system.
Stopping Dropbox and MSE is a good start. If the installation is upsetting your network connection, that is a pointer to another possible problem. Try disabling your network connection (from Windows) before you run the install. If that works the problem is probably with the device driver for your network card. Look for a newer driver at Microsoft or the NIC manufacturer's site.
