Server 2003 E-mail setup

Post by catak »

Can i send e-mail through outlook express within virtualbox? I've configured a POP3 service on the server and installed Outlook Express on both clients w/ window XP. I've also configured ISS using SMTP virtual server. I keep getting "The message could not be sent because on of the recepients was rejected by the server". Any help or a tuturioal would be great.

I'm studying to be a sys admin and I'd like to do various tasks with server 2003 in test enviornment.

Also, what types of tasks have you been using to proactively learn AD and the other functions to virtualize being a sys admin?

VirtualBox emulates hardware.

Your problems have nothing to do with VirtualBox.

For problems with special software ask in forum for that software.

What stefan is saying is that Virtualbox is not about software virtualization but about hardware virtualization. If you got the outlook express that you mention, it means Virtualbox is working totally fine, and that the issue is in your e-mail server configuration, which is not in scope of this forum.

You will need to seek help on the software support forum, not on Virtualbox's forum. There is no section for that kind of support here, since we do not do it.
