Hello, I do run VB (Windows 7 84 bit host) on a laptop. Usually my battery stay for very long time then when I run even just one host (it doesn't matter if it is Windows, Linux or whatever), battery will decrease very very fast.
What can I do to try to alleviate the problem?
Most VM configuration is default, with ACPI and everything.
Thankx

Re: Guests and fast battery discharge
Running a guest is like running 2 OS at the same time on your laptop. This will obviously drain battery faster - at least twice as fast
Also, the guest is not aware its on a laptop, and will therefore not use (or even have access) to power-saving features you would normally have.
Which, all in all, will definitly drain your battery very fast.
