Installing Win 7 on MAC via VB

Hi, I am helping my buddy install his Windows 7 version on his MAC OS x Ver 10.8.2, 64 bit. He has VB version 4.2.6 installed. We have been getting errors on his install, one of which we were able to circumvent but then have been halted at a second error during install.
The first error was corrected by ticking the "Enable IO APIC" on his settings for the Windows 7 file in his VB.
I'd post an image of his Win 7 screen on VB but apparently ONE CANNOT till after one day and one post.
The error we're getting is once the installation has begun processing, it gets to 77% then stops with the following errors: "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt, or missing. Make sure all filed required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570"
What else can I provide to help solve this issue? I am by no mean a MAC user and in fact I hate iAnything and iEverything so I am quite unfamiliar with MAC anything and everything.
I'm a PC! \o/

No, there's no constraint here about posting pictures in your first message, provided you do actually post a picture, and not an offsite URL.
Where did the Windows 7 setup disk come from? If it's just a system restore disk from another (OEM) PC then it may well not have all the files it needs.

During the HD file type, are we selecting VDI since we're using an ISO file?
he contacted the provider this morning whom said the link they provide to d/l the windows .iso file is directly from MSN and thus claim there is no way the file is corrupt.
Can ya help me corroborate that information?
Edit: Went through install again and am still getting the same error.
This is a screenshot of the error, this time we got to 81%

Any file that is transferred via tcp can become corrupt, I don't care what anyone tells you. The only way to see if it is valid or not is to compare the checksums and see if they match. Google checksums for the way to do this.

Thank you, Googled and downloading proggy to check.
Hawt diggity. I frequent a lot of various forums, but I can't recall seeing anyone with 21K posts! high-fivah for serious dedication! *back to checking checksums

Uhh, without a valid file to compare against...how is one supposed to complete a checksum value?

Generated checksums are listed on the download site. You compare what you have with what they say it should be.
Exactly where does the file come from? You mentioned a provider. Do they not have the information, or ask them why not?

He chose softwarekingdotcom for his purchase and the D/L link came via email. No such value or reference to one in the email.

Well then you would need to contact softwareking.com for the information.
I did a quick search of the site and it looks valid so they must have had it there or have it for their users. It is the only way to see if it is in the same condition as the original. Other than that you are just wasting your time until you know for sure your copy is accurate.
