If you install Windows 8 in Virtualbox, it will not install over your current system.
Virtualbox will provide a virtual disk on which Windows can set its NTFS file system, and that disk will appear as regular file on your OSX host.

Hello
Thanks for the reply (Ok, the other post has been blocked)
Of course, now we are in 2013
Thats why I wrote the post... I had Windows with NTFS and FAT32 and I couldn't virtualise Ubuntu.... Thats I was worry with Mac to virtualise Windows 8, due the different file systems...
If I have some issue I will create a new thread, I need in other PC with Linux virtualise Windows 8 too...
Thanks a lot for your time...

Yes I know about the italic part, but I remember in 2010 that VirtualBox asked for a special partition to match for the required OS to be virtualised....If you install Windows 8 in Virtualbox, it will not install over your current system.

Mmmm, lets see....Virtualbox will provide a virtual disk on which Windows can set its NTFS file system, and that disk will appear as regular file on your OSX host.
