Proper Linux install from VirtualBox?

I am running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium quite happily.
I am running VirtualBox 4.2.6, with the 4.2.2 extensions module installed,
with greater happiness.
And I have virtualised Mandriva Linux 2011 64 bit inside VirtualBox, and am rather pleased.
Is there any kind of way to transfer the virtualised Linux installation I have inside VB
to direct linux partitions/spare hard drive areas without doing a full reinstallation
outside of VirtualBox?
Is there a way to install linux from inside an Oracle .ova file?
