If you have internet working in the guest then you could connect to these forums directly from the guest.
The manual has quite detailed instructions on installing the Guest Additions on a Linux guest. Have you been following those instructions?

thanks again as you get back to my post
sir, earlier i was just click on "device" and then use "Install guest additions" option.. but as you told, i follow the steps:
a) i install dkms and then restart and then follow the steps.. but same issues
and sir, i have installed ubunto and created a use with user name and password and i think, i have admin right issues, because i can't copy/move files and or drag and drop files to any other locaiotns, it's says permision denied

any suggestion? but don't worry, i install guest addition with admin right (it asked me to authenticate)
and here is the log file, (please check out the attached)
best regards

Something tells me you don't read the logs. It tells you why the guest additions failed and what you need to do.
DKMS: add completed.
Error! Your kernel headers for kernel 3.5.0-17-generic cannot be found.
Please install the linux-headers-3.5.0-17-generic package,
You should also install build-essential and dkms

This will install the necessary packages for you to be able to install the Guest Additions.
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install dkms build-essential linux-headers-generic
For information on how to use Ubuntu see

You can only d'n'd to Linux guests for now. Windows is not supported yet. This and more information can be found in your VirtualBox users manual.

I meant exactly what I wrote. The only d'n'd is to a Linux guest.
