MacOS freeze - running XP host with multiple bridged interf

Hi,

I would like to know if there are any known issues when running Windows XP host in MacOS Lion, with multiple bridged interfaces.

I used to run this host with a single interface in NAT, no problem; when switching to multiple bridged interfaces I get MacOS to freeze in ~48H.

Each of the host's interface is bridged to a physical interface of the guest:
Adapter 1 is bridged to en1 (WiFi); promiscuous mode: deny
Adapter 2 is bridged to en0 (Ethernet); promiscuous mode: deny

In the host, en1 is setup in "internet sharing" mode with a PPTP VPN connection.

The goal of this setup is:
1- to have the guest send internet traffic exclusively through the VPN tunnel
2- enable the host access to local network via en0, even when VPN is down
3- enable Host traffic to not go exclusively through the VPN (host internet traffic goes through normal gateway)

If you think I over-complexified the setup: that the guest could directly connect to the VPN, there is a good reason for it; this is because of scalability: the objective down the road is to run several guests in this setup with a single centralized VPN connection that all guests use.

When the crash occurs, the mac is unresponsive to ping or mouse clicks. I have to keep the power button pressed to force power off.
Looking back into logfiles such as kernel.log or messages doesn't highlight a specific issue.

Any hint of similar setup working fine would be appreciated.

Running:
VirtualBox 4.2.6 r82870
Host: MacOS Lion 10.7.5
Guest: Windows XP 64 bits
Adapter: Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop
