Fullscreen Mode with 2 Displays

Post by andrewch »

Hello,

I have come across a problem with Virtualbox 4.2.6. My host machine in running Windows XP and has two monitors. My Guest machine is also running Windows XP with two monitors. Whenever I go to "Fullscreen" mode, the virtual machine instance crashes (is shows "Aborted" in the VirtualBox control console). I have the virtual machine guest addition installed.

This is not a major problem to me, because I have reverted to using VirtualBox 4.1.16 which works perfectly well. I only "upgraded" because I thought that a newer version would be better.

I am mentioning this in case anyone is interested in fixing. As I say, I am not too concerned because I have a good work around, but the VirtualBox developers may be interested to know that the problem exists. If anyone wants further details, fee free to ask.

AC.

The best way to inform the devteam is to post a ticket on the BugTracker site. Link to this topic, and provide a VM log file as a .zip attachment. Note that the BugTracker site is separate from the forums, though still OSSO. On a first post there you will have to choose a nickname.
