Hi.
I run CaeLinux based on ubuntu 10.04. It runs smoothly until i activate 3d acceleration. Then Ubuntu stops after logging in. Actually KDE stops. Any idea what is the problem?

I allocated 128 MB GPU RAM and it went smoothly.

Are there any other Infos like "does not work"?
Host OS, VGA card, VBOX version, Info about installed guest editions in the exact same version?
And very helpfull is a log file (VBOX Gui, right mouse button on guest in the guest list, show log).
Else there is nothing to say.

Host OS is Windows7 Pro x64, graphics card is nVidia Quadro Fx3800, vbox is 4.2.6 r82870. I have installed clean Ubuntu 12.04 LTS x64 under the latest vbox. Then I ran guest additions. Fter that salome-meca and freecad to verify if the problem is software related. Now I can run ubuntu and salome, but now I'm having problems with viewport itself. It is still related to 3d acceleration. I run guest with 3d activated. Firstly everthing is ok. I can rotate 3d model in salome's geometry module, but after few moments it looks like whole guest is refreshing display and in two different softwares 3d viewport is inactive.
Considering the fact, that this thread is related to ubuntu 10 and now I have ubuntu 12 I have posted a new therad. Please respond to my questions under
