Hi,
I have a Macbook pro 13 inch, 5.5, mid 2009 2.26 GH Core 2 Duo, 8 GB memory.
I installed Virtualbox 4.2.6 including the extension packs and Windows 7 64bit.
I am trying to install Dragon Naturally Speaking Standard (Home edition) 10.1 but I am getting the error "processor speed is inadequate to run application"
from researching this error on different forums, and the Nuance website, the problem is due to :
Error installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking on systems with power saving CPU's
Problem:
When installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking onto a system with a CPU (processor) containing power saving technology, an error message may appear stating "The processor speed is not adequate for running Dragon NaturallySpeaking."
The workaround is to change power settings on your system. I only find a resolution for Windows Vista not Windows 7
Make sure that the system is plugged in and not running on battery power alone.
Right-click on the Windows desktop.
Select "Properties" from the context menu.
Next, click on the "Screen Saver" tab.
Click the "Power" button beneath the "Monitor power" section.
Select "Always On" under the "Power schemes" section.
Click "Apply".
Restart the Dragon NaturallySpeaking installation.
In Microsoft Vista:
Make sure that the system is plugged in and not running on battery power alone.
Click on the Windows "Start" button.
Type "Power Options" in the "Start Search" field and press the "Enter" key on the keyboard. Power Options can also be found in the Control Panel.
From the "Select a power plan" options choose "High Performance". I have done this.
Close the Power Options dialog.
Restart the Dragon NaturallySpeaking installation.
Are there additional settings in my macbook pro that I should look at?
Or, is there something else I need to do?
Thanks.

On the Mac you need to look at the Energy Saver settings in the System Preferences.
