when i try to install fedora, it hangs at the language selection area, you can click continue all you want but it wont move.

Ubuntu 12.10 hangs on "configuring hardware" it just sits there, i waited a whole 45 minutes and it didnt budge, and my system is a core i7 @ 3.6GHz

im going to try ubuntu 12.04 next

is fedora 18 and ubuntu 12.10 just not supported yet?

Depends on the version of VirtualBox. There are issues with Fedora because it is newer than the latest release of VirtualBox, which the next maintenance release will take care of. Other than that it is probably just a learning curve.

To be sure you could post the guests log file (as an attachment) See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.
