Linux RedHat (centos6.3) on windows host, not responding

Post by pdk »

Hello All,
I am using the linux RedHat (centos 6.3) on windows host. While powering off the machine, it got stuck and was not responding. So i killed the vm, using windows task manager.
Today when i poweron the virtual machine, the machine state was aborted. So i powered on again by shutting down and later the login window screen came up bit smaller than normal and when logged in, as usual, the control cannot be taken out of the vm box.
- Also the vm box, doesnot resize itself to the background window size.

Can you please help me with any suggestions ?

thanks a lot in advence.

Cross posting is not allowed. Your second post was deleted.

You need to install the guest additions again or you can try by running the following:

Code: Select all

# /etc/init.d/vboxadd setup
Also try the host+G toggle to make sure that auto-resize is enabled.

Installing the Guest additions again solved both the issues :)
