Installation of Windows XP Pro

I am trying to install XP Pro on a new 27" iMac running OSX 10.8.2. Part way into the installation, it is necessary to press F8 to accept the license agreement. Pressing F8 causes iTunes to open; I haven't been able to get past that part of the installation. The VB window indicates the the keyboard is captured. VB version 4.2.6.
