Ubuntu 12.10 Guest additions messes up display

Post by TellowKrinkle »

After installing guest additions (version 4.2.6, version 4.2.4 didn't have this problem), my display looks like this:
With no applications open:
Ubuntu1.jpg
Ubuntu1.jpg (105.49 KiB) Viewed 995 times
With the file browser open:
Ubuntu2.jpg
Ubuntu2.jpg (106.6 KiB) Viewed 995 times
After opening the dash menu and closing it:
Ubuntu3.jpg
Ubuntu3.jpg (115.65 KiB) Viewed 995 times
This happens on both my iMac and MacBook Pro, both of which are running OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion.
Is there a fix for this?
