Trouble installing wordperfect on windows xp guest

I have a macbook pro running osx 10.7.4. I downloaded and installed the latest version of virtualbox and installed guest additions. I loaded several programs successfully, but when I attempted to load Wordperfect x4, the virtual machine aborted and returned me to the virtual box manager page. This same wordperfect disk worked fine on my older macbook running 10.5.8 with an earlier version of virtualbox (4.1.8 ) so I don't think the problem is with the disk. One thing I did notice is that the "seamless mode" is greyed out in the device tab. Not sure if that matters or not.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
