Anwendung mit Sicherungspunkt 1 starten

Post by fryvha »

Hallo
Wie lautet der command-line Befehl VBoxManage ???, um auf einem Mac ein aufgesetztes XP namens "XP" zu starten
und dabei den "Sicherungspunkt 1" anzuwählen - ohne erneuten Sicherungspunkt zu machen?

We do have a German language forum. Outside that forum please ask questions in English. I did try an automatic (Google) translation on what you wrote, but the translation did not make much sense to me.

Hello mpac
I try to translate:
How can i start a with command line (VBoxManage ???,) an XP-Istallation called "XP" AND start
this Installation with snapshot command called "snapshot 1" without making a new snapshot.

With the mouse i can handle it: click XP, click in right window "snapshot, choice "snapshot 1",
cklick away the sign in "make new snapshot", then klick the start icon.

Thanks for helps

I imagine that doing this from the command line would involve multiple steps. First "VBoxManage snapshot xxx" to manipulate snapshots, then "VBoxManage startvm ...".

I should mention however that I would expect any frequent manipulation of snapshots to eventually end in tears.

Hello mpack
That will say for preventig a software crack, it is better to
make no snapshot restores?
