I have just installed windows 7 onto my macbook, the screen resolution will not properly adjust nor am i able to access any shared files. I am also trying to install a GIS program however the disk will not appear in windows. From other posts I have read that I need to install guest additions, however whenever I click to install guest additions nothing happens. can anyone help me with this?

Go to Computer, install it directly from dvd. Autostart has been disabled from MS in newer versions to protect against a virus like conficker.

I cannot install guest additions version 4.2.6. r82870.
clicking on menu does not work and Windows 7 professional is working on an improper way, very slowly.
Any idea how to install it?

Go to Settings and change the number of CPUs for the guest to 1.

The guest additions.
Windows 7 has its CD/DVD autostart disabled by default, for security reason. You manually need to go to your CD/DVD drive and start the install yourself.
