Hi there - I am new to VirtuaBox and I just tried to import an appliance that has 3 disk images and it fails on the 2nd image with the error below:
Failed to import appliance C:\Development\ECS\VirtualBox\oel6u3-soabpm-ps6-121011-0336-0565.ova.
<vbox:Machine> element in OVF contains a medium attachment for the disk image dd6ed5e5-9db3-4757-840f-d1551a208904 but the OVF describes no such image.
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: Appliance
Interface: IAppliance {3059cf9e-25c7-4f0b-9fa5-3c42e441670b}
I have no idea where to go to solve this problem. Can someone guide me?
Thanks!
Mike

Re: Failed to Import Error
Where did you get the appliance from? Did you try to edit it in any way?
What version of Virtualbox does the appliance come from? and what is the target Virtualbox version?

Re: Failed to Import Error
The appliance is an Oracle beta product and I did not edit it. I am trying to import it into 4.2.6r82870. I am not sure how to tell what version it was created from. Can you guide me there?
Re: Failed to Import Error
Hi I have the same issue with VBox 4.2.16 r86992 (Windows 7 SP1 x64)
I just export VM, delete it from VBox and try to import back on the same machine and the same VBox version.
