2.6.4 crashes frequently on Windows 7 running Debian Wheezy

Post by ceving »

Today I have updated to VirtualBox 2.6.4 and now I am experiencing frequent crashes (two till now). I never had so much crashes with VirtualBox and I am using it for years on Linux and Windows hosts. I have attached Vbox.log and Vbox.png. Can anybody explain what goes wrong here?

I am running Debian Wheezy on Windows 7 Home. I have installed the latest Windows and Debian Updates and I have installed Microsoft Security Essentials.

The last words of Chromium on the screen shot are showing that it was waiting for a network response. Is is possible that there is problem with the network card? I am using an Asus P8H67-I bord with a Realtek 8111E on board nic. But on the other side I do not experience any network problems with other programs. I am running Blizzard games almost every day. ;-)

Can anybody help?

Code: Select all

VirtualBox VM 4.2.6 r82870 win.amd64 (Dec 19 2012 14:42:41) release log
00:00:31.017516 Guest Additions information report: Version 4.1.18 r78361 '4.1.18_Debian'
It would help if the guest additions were updated to match the base version

Code: Select all

00:00:00.775797 HWACCM: No VT-x or AMD-V CPU extension found. Reason VERR_VMX_MSR_LOCKED_OR_DISABLED
But enabling the VT-x (hardware virtualization) in you bios will do the most good.
