Hi, I'm trying to boot Win Vista on my Mac mini. I have gone through the setup instructions and downloaded the ISO and run that through IMGBurn making it bootable added it to the virtual CD/DVD in Vbox but I still keep getting the "No bootable media found!" error message.
Please help before I start throwing computer equipment out the window!
Thanks.
no bootable media found!

Re: no bootable media found!
You must not post the link, we cant support illegal things. But if you have a MSDN-Account, then its ok.
Please do not burn the iso-image. Instead of this you can bind the iso image directly as cd/dcd to the guest.

when you say "bind" do you mean link the iso file to the virtual cd/dvd? because i have been doing that with no success.
Sorry about this, i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to this!

Re: no bootable media found!
The link you posted is the service pack and is not a bootable operating system. I doubt you will find a legal copy of Vista these days, without buying it. That said if you want to buy a product I would say Windows 7 as Vista was not that popular and fairly buggy.

I thought you have a MSDN Account. If not: Then you have a problem. Windows 7 ISO images are downloadable, but i dont know vista links.

Re: no bootable media found!
ISO images are easy to make if you have the original setup CD/DVD. An ISO is just a raw (uncompressed) image of a data CD or DVD. Your Mac has built in tools to make them. I'm finding it hard understanding how you could own a Vista license without having a copy of the CD that goes with it.
