USB Thumb Drive Failure to Mount

Post by BHunsaker »

Host: MacBook Air, Mid 2012, Mac OS X 10.8.2
Client: MS Windows 7 Pro x64, SP1, VirtualBox Guest Additions 4.2.6
VIrtualBox: 4.2.6
USB Thumb Drive: Victorinox Slim 8GB (MKI USA SAMBO USB Drive [0100])

Trying to capture the USB thumb drive in the VM without success. Status of the device in Windows is listed as "This device cannot start (code 10)". Nothing in the Windows event log. The VirtualBox log doesn't have any errors associated with the times I try to capture the device.

Any idea on how to diagnose this?

Thanks.

Install the extension pack, enable USB support in the VM settings, add a filter for this device to redirect USB messages to the VM.
