Well that only took me 100 years to create an account just to ask one important question..
Okay here goes I bought not that long ago a new ultrabook (you know one of those pc’s without a optical drive) It also comes with that woeful windows 8 hence why I wanted to add windows XP in combination with virtualbox.
By now you have probably gathered that I'm having trouble installing Windows XP because Virtualbox asks for a CD-rom, which doesn’t exist.
Dose anybody know how I can install xp under these circumstances. Stack overflow (with only overflow being the verbal diarrhoea they give as standard issue was able to point me towards having to create an ISO image of my Windows XP cd)
Nice but if that’s my only option how do I make a valid ISO image that will be accepted by Virtualbox.
In short all I want is XP up and running in Virtualbox by tomorrow J
Kind regards..

Use a more capable PC to make an ISO image of your XP setup CD. Transfer via USB stick and mount the ISO in the VM instead of the physical CD. The free ImgBurn app is good for many things, including making ISO images of CDs.
